Real Talk: Racism and the Church

Racism is a sin that has existed for hundreds of years and, unfortunately, is still rampant today, even in The Church. We firmly believe that until The Church does the spiritual surgery to rid itself of this sin, the world will not be able to handle racism and its’ debilitating effect on society. Certainly, we are called to exemplify Christ's love to all we come in contact with, regardless of their race or ethnicity.

In the wake of the deaths of Ahmaud Arbery and George Floyd, Pastor Doyle Adams and wife Mararia felt the Holy Spirit leading them to action. After talks and prayer with the EBC Media Team, the Real Talk segments idea came to fruition. Real Talk: Racism and the Church is a video series featuring Pastor Adams and other pastors and Christian believers who have heart to see The Church effectively deal with this sin.

In each episode they speak about their own racial experiences, and what we each can do to tackle racism in our churches and other spheres of influence. The common theme throughout is: Jesus Christ's life and sacrifice commands us to love and care for all people. This series aims to spark viewers to initiate the difficult conversation about racism and bring a biblical worldview to this issue in our churches and homes, in our interaction with co-workers, and to all whom we are connected in relationship with.

We pray this video series blesses you and challenges you to do a heart check, and allow God to do whatever is necessary to eradicate racism in the church and beyond.
